Hollywood Portrait Studio by Benchmark is the only studio in the world offering a cinematic Secret Agent – replica 007 photo shoot to the public.
Led by internationally acclaimed photographer Gordon Jovic, this is not your typical studio experience. Gordon believes that traditional studios—with their plain backdrops and static setups—lack energy and inspiration. Instead, every Benchmark shoot takes place in luxurious, ever-changing locations, each providing rich ambience and authentic cinematic character.
The studio is fully mobile and battery powered, allowing Gordon and his assistants to position lighting with complete freedom — indoors, outdoors, across Sydney, or anywhere in the world. (Travel and accommodation fees apply for interstate or international shoots.)
The 007 Experience – Behind the Scenes
The images featured here are from a recent James Bond–style photoshoot held at The Star in Pyrmont and surrounding areas. The shoot began in a deluxe suite at The Darling Hotel, where we captured cinematic portraits both in-room and in the elegant hotel lobby.
Soon after, our Lamborghini arrived, setting the stage for a series of action-inspired portraits at the hotel’s drive-through entrance. From there, we moved down to the wharf area for additional shots, including video and drone footage, adding that unmistakable Bond-style cinematic flair.
The entire shoot took around four hours — quite a feat considering we moved our mobile lighting setup between several locations. Despite the time constraints, Gordon delivered his signature magic. True to his creative style, he never plans shots in advance — he thrives on instinct, always ready with something visually striking “up his sleeve.”
